Installing
The Monkey: Please
Note:
These instructions are meant as a guide so feel free to
skip the sections you feel comfortable with. These steps
are not essential or particular to installing The Monkey
but are considered 'good practice' for any software you
intend to install on your PC.
Installation:
It's easy to install The Monkey, but for those who feel
their computer skills are a bit shaky, here is a simple
guide to what's involved. If you want more information
on a particular section, type what you need into a search
engine such as Google or Yahoo. For example type: ‘Restore
Point Tutorial'.

- Preparation:
It's always a good idea to do some regular basic housework
on your PC to make sure your PC is in good health. It's
not an essential step but it's good practice before you
install any new software or hardware.

2 - Creating a Restore
Point:
What's a restore point? A restore point is simply a
moment in time that you can tell the computer to go
back to should things not go as planned. This is not
an essential step but once again, it's good practice
before you install any new software or hardware.

3 - Finding your Monkey:
When downloading files from the Internet it can sometimes
be difficult to remember where you downloaded them to.
If you're having difficulty in locating your Monkey, simply
right mouse click the 'Start' button and select Search.
Type 'MONKEY_SETUP.EXE' and your PC will find the file
for you.

- Unzipping The Monkey:
To save space and make downloads faster, The Monkey arrives
'zipped up'. Zipping a file is a way of compressing all
the files in the program to make them smaller and therefore
smaller and quicker to download from the Internet. Before
you can install a zipped up program you need to unzip
it.

5 - Installing The Monkey:
Simply double click the
file, MONKEY_SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions
to complete the installation. Once finished, your Monkey
is then ready to use.
To start The Monkey, click The Monkey icon on your desk
top.
